नई दिल्ली: रक्षा मंत्रालय ने शनिवार को ‘मिशन शक्ति’ की कामयाबी का एक वीडियो प्रजेंटेशन जारी किया. ‘मिशन शक्ति’ के तहत भारत ने 27 मार्च को ओडिशा के कलाम द्वीप से एक एंटी सैटेलाइट मिसाइल के जरिए अंतरिक्ष में अपने एक सैटेलाइट को मार गिराया था.
इस सफल परीक्षण से भारत दुनिया की अंतरिक्ष महाशक्तियों के क्लब में शामिल हो गया था जिसकी घोषणा प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने राष्ट्र के नाम संबोधन में की थी. वीडियो में तस्वीरों और ग्राफिक्स की एक सीरीज के जरिए पूरे मिशन को दर्शाया है, क्रियान्वयन से लेकर सैटेलाइट को मार गिराने तक. टारगेट को 10 सेंटीमीटर की सटीकता के साथ 283 किलोमीटर की ऊंचाई मार गिराया गया था.
An Anti-Satellite (A-SAT) test was successfully conducted by DRDO on 27 March, 2019 with a new interceptor missile against alive orbiting satellite in the Low Earth Orbit (LEO) in a “Hit to Kill” mode. The interceptor missile is a three stage missile having two solid rocket boosters and a “Hit to Kill” capable Kill Vehicle (KV).The ASAT mission was conducted, as per the directives of the Hon’ble PM in 2016, to demonstrate India’s advancing technological capabilities in engaging space based threats involving complex mission planning and execution.The geographically distributed C4I weapon system detected, tracked and classified it as a satellite. The mission control centre (MCC) authorized destruction of the target through an assignment to the launch control centre (LCC). The LCC, in turn, computed a feasible intercept solution, prepared and launched the interceptor missile from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Island, Dhamra, Odisha. The “Kill Vehicle (KV)” was released as per the real-time computation of the sequence of events followed by the jettisoning of the heat shield.
